Our laboratory started in 2009 in MEMS research group of Kagawa University to focus on the biological application of MEMS technology. We develop microdevices for handling and analyzing single cells and single molecules to elucidate mechanisms of cell responses induced by chemical/mechanical stimulation, DNA dynamics, and spatial distribution of biomolecules (protein, RNA) inside single cell and a tissue.
